Ponte Vedra High School Ranks #273 in Nation and #23 in the State

U.S. News and World Report has released its yearly rankings of public high schools based on data from the 2013-14 school year. Ponte Vedra High School ranks #273 in the nation for high schools and #23 in Florida. Here’s a look at the US News methodology.

Ponte Vedra High School is ranked 23rd within Florida. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Ponte Vedra High School is 73 percent. The student body makeup is 51 percent male and 49 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 9 percent. Ponte Vedra High School is 1 of 10 high schools in the St. Johns.

In comparison, other area schools are as follows:

Nease came in at #752 in the nation and #55 in the state, while Duval County’s top magnet school Stanton and Paxon came in at #31 and #122 in the nation and #5 and #13 in the state. Fletcher High in Jacksonville Beach was unranked.
